Company: A Musical Comedy
On the night of his 35th birthday Robert, a confirmed bachelor with 3 girlfriends, contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, drinks, and even a wedding, his married friends explain the pros and cons of being in a committed relationship. The habitually single Robert is forced to question why he is clinging to bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions. Stephen Sondheim’s game-changing musical is a sophisticated and honest look at modern adult relationships and it shows that, even though it is hard work, marriage is a beautiful thing. Company was written by George Furth and Stephen Sondheim and has won multiple Tony Awards for Best Musical.
